PALACE PIER – EXCITING NEW SIRE
World Champion Miler & Kingman’s Best Son
Kingman is the sire of 89 stakes winners and 55 Group winners. The second fastest stallion to 50 Northern Hemisphere-bred stakes winners (in 1703 days) behind only Frankel. He reached this milestone faster than Galileo (1752 days), Deep Impact (1752 days) and Dubawi (1759 days). Kingman has made a serious impact in Australia with Group 1 winners like Zardozi and King Colorado, plus Melbourne Cup runner-up Emissary.
Palace Pier is the best son of Kingman.
Palace Pier stood for one season in Australia at a $55,000 service fee (~$61,000 NZD) and remains in high demand in Europe. With an elite Timeform rating of 132—higher than Anamoe, Mr Brightside, and Fangirl—he boasts world-class credentials that set him apart.
This colt is a half-brother to stakes winner and multiple Group-placed sprinter La Danseuse Rouge—who, like him, is also a striking chestnut.

EXCEED AND EXCEL INFLUENCE IN THE DAM
Exceed and Excel is one of Australia’s top broodmare sires, known for producing elite 1400m-1600m performers such as Astern, Tuvalu, and 1000 Guineas winner Madame Pommery. He’s also the broodmare sire of July Cup winner Ten Sovereigns, who is proving his worth at stud with rising stars like Pivotal Ten.
This pedigree blends two powerhouse sire lines—Kingman and Exceed and Excel—ideal for a high-class miler. Expect him to target Spring Guineas races as a three-year-old, with potential to feature in Autumn 2YO races as well.
Conformation & Race Targets
Much like his sire, we see this colt developing into an autumn two-year-old, with a focus on the Guineas races in the New Zealand spring. He also profiles as the type of horse capable of competing in the Australian autumn carnival, where there is an abundance of 1400–1600m races for three-year-olds.
Additionally, he is BOBS-eligible in NSW, providing a lucrative incentive for hit-and-run missions at Royal Randwick or Rosehill Gardens. With so many opportunities on both sides of the Tasman, he has all the makings of a true trans-Tasman contender.
This colt has the pedigree, physicality, and upside to develop into a top-class performer—don’t miss out
